What a week it has been here at the Masons HQ – We were delighted to find out earlier this week that we had won 7 awards at the New York World Wine and Spirits Awards and China Wine and Spirits Awards – Two of the biggest and most prestigious wine and spirits competitions globally – Tipping our grand total over 70 to 74 awards in total, a total we have worked incredibly hard over the years to achieve as a team!
Our much-loved Lavender Edition took home Gold at both awards – We first launched Masons Lavender Edition back in 2015, when Cathy and myself decided we wanted to create a unique gin but retain a classic London Dry style. It has remained a firm favourite over the years amongst our customers, staff and friends and family – Its delicately subtle flavour comes from the soft juniper and lavender, mixed with fresh lime and coriander notes. Masons Peppered Pear Edition also took home Gold at the China Wine and Spirits Awards! We first introduced Peppered Pear to the range back in 2017 at the Harrogate Christmas Market. Initially it was only going to be a special edition, however due to popular demand over the years we have now added it to the core range! We recommend serving Mason Peppered Pear Edition with a premium tonic water and garnishing it with a slice of crisp green apple – giving you a perfectly balanced G&T. Alternatively Masons Peppered Pear Edition goes well in a French 75 or with a light tonic water and garnished with rose petals for a drier finish (head to our cocktails page to discover more serve and cocktail ideas)!
In addition to this The Original won Silver at both the CWSA and NYWSC and the Tea and Peppered Pear Editions both took home Bronze at the NYWSC. Overall it was a fantastic result from industry critics!
